Dr. G. Nath G. Dayal Girls Intermediate College Unnao is the conception of Late Harmawan Dayal Sinha who was a leading criminal lawyer and educationist of Unnao . He , in memory of his brother – in- law Late  Dr. Guru Dev Nath who himself was highly skilled engineer , D.Sc. from Milan University Italy , established the school in the year 1964. The name of the school depicts the association of brother Dr. Guru Dev Nath and his sister and wife  of Late Babu Harmawan Dayal Sinha , Smt Gurudei Dayal .

 

Babu Harmawan Dayal Sinha had the grace of both goddess Laxmi and Saraswati . He built many dwelling houses and in the beginning in one of the houses Dr . G. Nath G. Dayal school was started from class 6^th . In those days there were very few private schools and mostly children had to sit on the carpet . But here in this school chairs and desks were provided to the children for their studies. This move attracted the children and gradually strength grew to 60. The school continued in the small house for three – consecutive years. Smt . Mukta Keshi Nath , wife of Late Dr. Guru Dev Nath was appointed as the founder principal of the college . With the efforts of Late Babu ji the school got high School recognition in the year 1966 and in its First batch of High School the result was hundred percent with all 14 student passed in second division . Smt Mukta Keshi Nath had a mission of taking the school to the new heights and to achieve this she left no stone unturned .After recognition of Intermediate in the year 1968 the school kept progressing in leaps and bounds. The strict discipline of Late Mukta Keshi Nath established an environment of education in the school campus due to which the result of High School and Intermediate continued to be 100% for so many years .

 

Every year the school used to organize grand annual function on 20^th May. The dignitaries of society were always there to appreciate the efforts of the Principal, teachers and children . A SHILPI NRATYA performed by students of the college was appreciated so much so that R.I.G.S. Lucknow Division of that time made it possible for a stage show of this NRITYA in Ravindralaya  Lucknow before higher authorities. The school always remained on top whether be it Sports, District Rallies, Cultural activities, Debates and won so many Shields and Medals.

 

The object of establishing the school was to impart best education to the students and also to provide employment to the people of society. Subsequently presently there is A Principal, 04 lecturers, 10  L.T. grade teachers, a clerk and 10 peons who are regular employees. The total number of people employed in the school are 25.

 

Hopefully the past glory of the college will be regained for which the present principal, teachers and staff are trying their best.
